To encourage collaboration among top performers and promote the mission of the Association Kangourou sans Frontières (ASKF), Math Kangaroo hosts the MK Asia Championships each summer. Students worldwide who earn a gold award or higher are invited to participate. Attending the Math Kangaroo Asia Championship is a rare international honor to compete against the best and an exciting learning opportunity.
The 2026 Math Kangaroo Asia Championship will be held in Hainan, China, welcoming gold medalists and above from across Asia and beyond; including China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Turkey, and the U.S.
Last year’s Championship brought together more than 2,000 top performers from China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and participants from regions across Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America.
Event Overview

Grade 1-3: July 8th – July 12th, 2026 (5 days)
Grade 4-8: July 15th – July 20th, 2026 (6 days) / July 15th – July 21st, 2026 (7 days with Sanya Tour)
- Venue : Boao, Hainan Island, China
- Invitation Criteria : Students in Grade 1-8, who achieve gold or above awards in Math Kangaroo and will be divided into two divisions:
– Grade 1-3: Elementary(Grade 1&2), Junior(Grade 3);
– Grade 4-8: Junior (Grade 4), Intermediate (Grade 5-6), and Senior (Grade 7-8);
- Language: English & Chinese
- Team requirements: 4-member teams, students in the same group can team up together, not cross-group teams.
